future world?
-Bob’s Burgers, Hawk and Chick
okay, fine, here’s some context:
Hawk and Chick are a fictional father/daughter duo on Bob’s Burgers. The movies are favorites of Bob and Louise and they become obsessed with having a screening of one of the movies to reunite Hawk and Chick.
Bob and Louise have not thought things through, because their plan was to use VHS tapes in the theatre and “fast forward through the commercials.” (man, remember taping things from tv?) The theatre worker responded, “what do you think this is, future world?”
I found it funny. Maybe you will, too.
